Carlo Hits Up Damn AM LA
Already Famous Crew member Carlo Carezzano hit up the Damn AM Los Angeles competition this past weekend. More than 140 riders participated in the event. Although he didn’t make the cut to the semis, Carlo placed above half the competition. He was also the only rider from a third world country. “For my first competition against all these kids from Cali and Florida, I’m ok with how I skated,” Carlo says. “I just gotta keep at it.” For a recap of the contest and to check out a little press on Carlo, click here. After the contest ended Carlo did a little schmoozing within the local skate scene and captured some street footy with LA videographer Vern Laird. Tuesday morning he got to skate a quick session at the Berrics. Check out the pics.
AF Crew Hits Up Philly AM
The Already Famous Crew piled into a team van and headed to Philadelphia for the Philly AM contest.
The BEST part about the contest was traveling and skating with the homies. Once we got there and the sponsored part of the contest began, the crew noticed immediately that the purpose of the contest was more about showcasing the locals. Sadly, it wasn’t about rewarding genuine effort and talent and whomever did the best that day. Realizing what was up actually took a lot of pressure off the group and we were able to just shrug it off and have fun. All in all we made the best of it and had a blast. Would we do it again if we didn’t have to? Probably not.

Who doesn’t love a little BTS action?! Last month, we shared the teaser trailer for “Skateboarding with Saddam” an independent movie directors Bayou Bennett and Daniel Lir. Now our Hollywood friends have released the behind the scene video of the trailer shoot. If you are out of the loop, let us fill you in. We were stoked to support this unique skate movie by providing proper footwear to create an authentic early 90s vibe, suiting the cast up with our reissued Prototypes and Enigmas. Keep an eye out for its release by following them on facebook.
