Anastasia Ashley on TMZ

Our favorite surfer girl is at it again! This time though she landed herself on TMZ’s homepage for what she does best, surfing. Check out this gnarly pic snapped by Daniel Russo. Nice work on catching that monster wave, Anastasia!

Q & A with Anastasia Ashley

Airwalk surfer Anastasia Ashley leads a busy life. She’s obviously an accomplished pro surfer, but she also attends photo shoots, beach clean-ups, and is known to party, from time to time. Since a lot of you already know these things about her, we wanted you to hear a few other random tidbits as well.

Airwalk: If you were the star of a reality show what would the show be called?

AA: Probably Anastasia’s Wild Life, or Anastasia’s Crazy Adventures, or maybe if I was lucky Anastasia Boo Boo.

Airwalk: Outside of action sports what would be your dream sponsor deal?

AA: Most definitely Starbucks, you can never go wrong with too much coffee!

Airwalk: If you could see any band play, past or present, who would it be?

AA: I have always wanted to see U2 in concert, I have never seen them, so they are the one band I hope to wipe off them my bucket list.

Airwalk: What’s the most embarrassing band or artist on your ipod?

AA: Probably Miley Cyrus, I love her music. It’s pretty catchy even though it’s straight cheesy pop.

Airwalk: Who’s the best James Bond?

AA: Pierce Bronson, no competition. He’s my favorite, but if I was to pick a second place it would be Sean Connery.

Airwalk: Do you have a good luck charm that you take with you when you travel?

AA: Yes, my cute stuffed animals. (did I really admit that?)

Airwalk: If your surf style were an animal, what would it be?

AA:Definitely a cat, because it’s fierce and feisty!

Q and A with Mike Vallely

We all know Mike V. is a legend in the skate park, but often a man of few words. We shot over some question in hopes that we could get a slightly different look into the life of one of our favorite skaters. Check out what he had to say.

Airwalk: If you were the star of a reality show what would the show be called?

Mike V: I almost had a reality show… I shot a pilot for MTV in 2007. It was called Mike V Versus The World. I am thankful everyday that it was rejected.

Airwalk: Outside of action sports what would be your dream sponsor deal?

Mike V: Apple Computers.

Airwalk: If you could see any band play, past or present, who would it be?

Mike V: Springsteen in the 70′s.

Airwalk: What’s the most embarrassing band or artist on your ipod?

Mike V: I’m not embarrassed by any of it but I’m sure there’s some stuff on there that would make others cringe. Journey or the Bee Gees maybe.

Airwalk: Who’s the best James Bond?

Mike V: I’ve never watched these films but Roger Moore was in Cannonball Run playing the Bond character… So, I’ll go with Roger Moore.

Airwalk: Do you have a good luck charm that you take with you when you travel?

Mike V: No. I’ve shaken all superstition from my life. That kind of stuff can be a real burden.

Airwalk:If your skate style were an animal, what would it be?

Mike V: An elephant.

Warren Metcalfe Gets a Cover Shot

Cover shots on Los Cabos Magazine, gallivanting around with celebrities, surfing everyday, and owning a restaurant in a tropical location are the norm for Airwalk surfer Warren Metcalfe. While writing that last sentence made us overwhelmingly jealous, we still have to give props to our man. If you’re in the area, make sure to keep an eye out for this month’s edition of Los Cabos magazine.

Tulio Oliveira China Tour Video

Tulio Oliveira has already been to China three times this year. That’s a lot of Kung Pao Chicken, which coincidentally we’re now craving. Lunch plans aside, Tulio recently put together this little edit from one of his trips there. Take a minute to watch as he shreds the streets of Shanghai.

Monday’s With Mike V Episode 4

Mike V is back this week with another one of his bi-monthly episodes of “Monday’s with Mike”. For this particular episode, Mike V meets up with San Jose native Jason Adams to talk about his art. They also spend some time shreddin’ the skate park, but would you really expect any less from these guys?

Tulio Oliveira 2012 Video

Tulio Oliveira is straight up owning it down in Brazil. This street skater just released his own shoe down there, has been organizing competitions, and continues to shred each and every day. We had a chance to bring Tulio out to Panama City for our photo shoot and caught a ton of amazing footage of him and Andy Mac skating through the city. Here’s a little recap of the action.

An Update from Warren

This was my first surf trip back from breaking my leg. I was hoping to grab some entries for “Wave Of The Summer Contest,” but I ended up catching the swell a few days after the contest ended. Either way it was a great trip. I was a bit under gunned board wise and apprehensive of my recent injury but once I got a couple good ones I felt right at home. I’m stoked to be dusting off the cob webs in such an awesome place.
