For the past year we’ve been highlighting the urban skate movement in NYC with our Already Famous campaign. Weâ€™ve throw some crazy parties, organized skate events, and supported the Harold Hunter Foundation. While all of these things have been pretty sick, we’re finally getting to do what we love best – releasing some limited edition kicks!
We wanted these shoes to be on point with NY’s soul and flavor, so we had Mitchell Ware, Creative Director for Already Famous to design them. Here’s what he had to say about them, â€śI’ve coined the color way for this first shoe ‘Batmobile.â€™ Most of everything you see in skate lifestyle looks the same, so I wanted to design something different that looked aggressive, but elegant enough to want to keep the shoes clean. A lot of Airwalk’s heritage as a brand lies in small noticeable details unlike any other skate shoe. This design takes an iconic model and adds new material accents that make the shoe the perfect combination of old and new.â€ť.
