Last night at the Nitehawk Cinema in Brooklyn, NY, we served up a screening of our skate micro-documentary, We Out Here. Along with the current Already Famous skate team, the rest of the stars of the documentary, as well as industry folk and journalists were on hand for the viewing. Here’s a few of our favorite pics. When you’re done checking them out, head over to Fader to check out their full recap including the streaming documentary.
The Already Famous Crew piled into a team van and headed to Philadelphia for the Philly AM contest.
The BEST part about the contest was traveling and skating with the homies. Once we got there and the sponsored part of the contest began, the crew noticed immediately that the purpose of the contest was more about showcasing the locals. Sadly, it wasn’t about rewarding genuine effort and talent and whomever did the best that day. Realizing what was up actually took a lot of pressure off the group and we were able to just shrug it off and have fun. All in all we made the best of it and had a blast. Would we do it again if we didn’t have to? Probably not.

For the past year we’ve been highlighting the urban skate movement in NYC with our Already Famous campaign. We’ve throw some crazy parties, organized skate events, and supported the Harold Hunter Foundation. While all of these things have been pretty sick, we’re finally getting to do what we love best – releasing some limited edition kicks!
We wanted these shoes to be on point with NY’s soul and flavor, so we had Mitchell Ware, Creative Director for Already Famous to design them. Here’s what he had to say about them, “I’ve coined the color way for this first shoe ‘Batmobile.’ Most of everything you see in skate lifestyle looks the same, so I wanted to design something different that looked aggressive, but elegant enough to want to keep the shoes clean. A lot of Airwalk’s heritage as a brand lies in small noticeable details unlike any other skate shoe. This design takes an iconic model and adds new material accents that make the shoe the perfect combination of old and new.”.
These kicks are a limited edition, and will sell out. The last ONE we dropped sold out in a hurry, so make sure to grab a pair before they’re gone
Harold Hunter Day VI is throwing down tomorrow in NYC, and we can hardly wait! Airwalk made the official Harold Hunter Day T-shirt for the big event. So for those of you who can’t make it to the party, we are selling a limited number on
Airwalk.com next week. All proceeds go to the Harold Hunter Foundation.

We’re stoked to announce that we are a proud sponsor of the upcoming Harold Hunter Day, October 13th. If you’re in the area, make sure to cruise down to the all-new Coleman Oval/L.E.S. Skatepark under the Manhattan Bridge. Head down at 1:00pm for a day of skating and remembrance.

Earlier this week we released the latest video from our Already Famous campaign. This week’s highlighted ambassador is Wade Yates, NY skater and co-founder of Trophy Grip. Big ups to Wade for the video, and all the press it’s receiving!
Our Already Famous campaign continues shining light on some amazing NYC skaters. Check out this feature video on Rob Campbell. You might be familiar with him, as this 32 year old has been a pro since 2004. From being on the 1997 Supreme skate team, to running his two skate companies today, Rob Campbell is pretty much Already Famous. His blog is pretty rad too.
Our Already Famous campaign is well under way, and already grabbing some attention. We recently released a video highlighting one of our skate ambassadors, Cherry Puffin and it was quickly picked up by Complex. Cherry’s video is the first of a series of profiles that we’ll be releasing throughout the year. Follow Already Famous on twitter to get the latest from the campaign.
